The best staff you can find in egypt, very friendly, very honest. the place is not luxury,it is budget...but just you feel like home. They have the warm of the family,we loved setting in the common room chatting with other people and the staff. It was amazing to stay in the african hostel.
The Iron gate downstairs(building's gate) close at midnight and we have been told that these are police instruction...anyway the doorman always there to open it for you even at 04.00 am.Reception is 24 hours though.

It was only 1 night but we felt like home.We felt comfortable and safe as 3 gurls traveling alone becomes always problem in arabic countries. Our room was spacious with high ceiling(amazing). The shared bathroom was super comparing to what we see later in egypt.

we stayed here for 4 nights, the staff is great, you don't have to deal with the usual hassle and they try to help you in every way they can.we left our baggage there for 10 days no charge and when we picked it up before our flight, we've been offered free showers and free internet.

The staff are very friendly. It is basic - as that is what you pay for. I would suggest not going to this hoste lin the very hot summer months as there is no air conditioning. It makes sleeping almost impossible.

the hotel allowed me ti a check a bag there for 7 hours afteri'd actually checked out.
there was sometimes a bit of resentment when one asked one of the tea makers for tea. The tea then took a while to be prepared and arrive.

The hotel is rather expensive regarding to the comfort and the provided services, only a bit cheaper than other hotels providing at least air conditionning. It was a real sauna inside our room. Furthermore, the breakfast is really not worth taking it, even the tea is not good. We strongly suggest other travellers to spend a little more pounds and go to another place.

Staff was very helpful in giving us advice and recommending places to eat, as well as organizing laundy, a driver to take us out to giza, saqqara, and dahshur, and a sunset nile cruise. lovely common area with tv and free tea. they have two beautiful friendly cats who were nice to cuddle with. free baggage storage.
the pillows were like sandbags and smelled like old towels..that mildew smell.
